LexPipe grew out of a real moment in practice. When a client asked their firm how much a matter would cost, the attorney reached for the nearest thing available, a napkin, and put down a number.
That number was wrong. Not because the attorney lacked expertise, but because the data needed to answer that question accurately was buried across timesheets, matter histories, and billing records no one had time to pull together.
The case for quick access to financial intelligence was obvious. Analyzing case and billing data had to become easier.

He brings his expertise in docketing and public data systems to unlock value for elite practitioners.
Michael founded Docket Alarm, a platform for attorneys to view, search, and track dockets, later acquired by Clio. LexPipe is the natural progression, extracting the strategic value locked in billing data to become the system of record for client value.
